COMMUNITY CIRCLE

I believe in community circle as a container for exploring the human experience. I have learned through my practice that releasing stories, feelings, and encounters from our bodies allows us to recalibrate and renew our vessels and our perspective as we journey through the unpredictable waters of life.

Intentional community circle is an ancient practice for sharing joy, for helping develop resolution, reconciliation (between and within) and for honoring human suffering. The magic of the circle is its capacity to hold without burden; providing communal therapy without impacting the well-being of any one member.

When we gather in circle we show up with open hearts to hear and see one another, and be both heard and seen.

motherhood Circle: Circle of care

A moment to pause, drop in and reflect on the journey. In our monthly gathering we invite mothers and all birthing people to come sit in sacred space, take a pause and lean into their emotional body; to share, release, and rejuvenate through the practice of listening and speaking from the heart.

We invite the raw, unfiltered, un-structured, haze. We invite the tender dream states. The invitation is to come as you are, however you are. No previous experience or pre-meditated thoughts required. Each month will carry a specific theme and prompt informed by seasonal elements and the journey of the work of care.

The invitation to participate is extended to any Mama's, Aunties, Sisters, and Birthing People finding themselves in the work of care.

To overcome barriers of connection our Circle is held virtually via ZOOM the second Sunday of the month 11:30-1:00pm PST.

Reflections from Circle

Narmeen holds a sacred and safe space for mothers to share both their deepest desires and greatest fears. After I leave her motherhood circles I feel so uplifted, renewed, and relaxed. Narmeen reminds us that we were not meant to do this alone. I am so grateful for this monthly community gathering. - Jennifer Marcaccini

I didn't know how much I needed this Motherhood Circle. Narmeen thoughtfully guided us to a place of honesty. She made space for each of us to share and I had a long overdue, intense emotional release. I felt nourished by the gathering and created loving connections with everyone that I will never forget. - Tendisai Cromwell

What a gift it is to feel held by Narmeen’s beautiful presence and devotion to tending circle. Her gifts are many and she gives freely and with delight. The many hats and masks lay at the door and women are able to show up free to share their joy and their struggle, it’s all welcomed. Candles are lit, tea is poured and our souls leave nourished as we continue our sacred work of mothering. - Kate Loukes

These Motherhood Circles saved me from postpartum depression and isolation because of the COVID lockdowns. I’ve known Narmeen for many years and it is magical to see her facilitate so many wonderful people through a reflective and healing journey. Thank you Narmeen for providing us with a safe space to share, laugh and cry. - Bushra Khan

The Motherhood Circle is a great opportunity to take some time out once a month to connect with a diverse community of mothers to reflect on the blessings and challenges of motherhood without judgement. Narmeen is a talented facilitator that creates a comfortable environment to bring people together in a virtual setting. I would highly recommend any mother join to share her observation and feelings at any stage of her journey, and walk away feeling heard. - Huma Durrani

Narmeen’s monthly guidance in the Motherhood Circle has become one of the central components of my emotional and spiritual well-being over the past 8 months. With love, grace and acceptance, Narmeen welcomes us into a familial space where our entirety is embraced and nurtured, and where we can both heal and grow. The care I have found in this space, from Narmeen and the other participants, has brought closure to some of my insecurities and sustained me in the face of adversity. I have never found a more authentic and powerful gathering place. - Meaghan Williams

Narmeen's thoughtful and inclusive facilitation is like poetry in motion. She creates a foundation of trust between participants, and poses thought-provoking questions that create space for powerful stories to be shared, and deep connections to be forged. As a new mom raising a baby during a global pandemic, I crave the sense of community that I leave Narmeen's circles with. I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with other new mamas across borders - especially during a time of great isolation. - Seema Jethalal

The Motherhood Circle that Narmeen holds and facilitates so beautifully has become a vital source of inspiration, community, and perspective for me. The magic is that no matter what you are living, someone will inevitably speak about their own experience in a way which directly informs or inspires your own journey. In circle, we witness and we are seen. We remember that we are not alone. We remember that to parent is to belong to a tradition as old as time. Narmeen’s grace and realness, as well as the beauty she curates in each moment, facilitates this depth of experiencing. I am so thankful. - Elodie Button
